WHO AM I?
Why should you listen to me?
I'm Sam Holland. Inspired by the likes of Slash, my music journey began at school, through to college and finally studying at the University of West London, where I immersed myself in the art under the mentorship of top industry professionals.
I am also lucky enough to have recorded albums and toured around the world with various bands and artists.
I became a music teacher at West Nottinghamshire College in 2014, teaching music theory and performance to passionate music students. I'm also a certified RGT (Registry of Guitar Tutors) teacher.
In addition to my teaching role, I've since delved into the realm of content creation on YouTube, honing my ability to teach and convey information in the best way.
Drawing from years of experience and expertise, I've finally distilled all I've learned about the iconic Slash guitar style into this comprehensive course just for you.

A: No. Slash has NOT contributed to this course in any way. I will be presenting the lessons and I have written all the parts based on his playing style.
Q: Are the course videos subtitled in different languages?
A: No. Currently, there are no subtitle options but the web provider is working on this so it could be available in different languages in the near future.
Q: What skill level is required to enroll in the course?
A: It is advised that you have some playing ability and competence in lead guitar but you don't have to be a pro. I also provide slow versions of all examples, as well as the original speed, making it easier to see, and hear what's happening.
Q: Do I need any specific equipment or gear to participate in the course?
A: All you need is a guitar... and a tuner. iii]; P It's much more badass with an amp but I will be covering amp and pedal tones and techniques in another course.
Q: How is the course structured? Is it a series of video lessons, written materials, or interactive exercises?
A: The course is an online portal where you can access the materials and videos. It includes notation and tab to cater for those who like to learn in different ways. You can learn at your own pace and revisit the videos any time.
Q: Will the course cover both rhythm and lead guitar techniques used by Slash?
A: This particular course is for lead playing and solo ideas. HOWEVER, stay tuned because I am working on a "Riff like Slash" course very soon.

A: This course focuses on giving you ideas that you can incorporate into your repertoire which means you can dip in and out of the sections you need, work at your own pace, and come back for more when you're ready.

A: There are no deadlines for this course. You can work at your own pace and revisit when you need.

A: All the examples are notated and tabbed out for you. You will also get access to ALL of the scale diagrams outlined in the course. These are Slash's faviourite scales and how he uses them. You can view these on your device or print them out if you prefer. Backing tracks are also provided.
